We wanted to take our business to the next level and I realized that I was the one in the family out and about, in a new place almost every day. I was also the one with lists and lists of people that I WANTED to contact from high school, old co-workers, local influential business people and I was scared silly to do it. I can talk to anyone one on one, encourage them, inspire and motivate but I had zero prospecting skills and I knew we were missing out on a huge opportunity because of my fear and everyone on my list and that crossed my path was going to miss out too. Shame on me…I said I wanted to make a difference and live a life of significance, but I wasn’t doing anything about it! I had a revelation one day while watching our daughter ice skate that she was getting better and better and advancing faster than anyone else around her because she had the best coach (her coach is a former Olympian) and was consistent every day in her training. I asked myself, if I spent as much money on my own training as I do on Delaney’s training, where would my prospecting skill level be in a month, in 3 months? What if I had an “Olympic” coach in the specific skill of prospecting?
